Technology

Savannah, GA Dentist

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality care to every patient, we offer many advanced technologies in our office. Some of these include:

Digital X-Rays

Our advanced digital X-rays magnify and enhance your teeth for better diagnosis and treatment. This digital X-ray allows us to take an image of your teeth and put it into an imaging program.

With this program, we are able to use a number of tools that will allow us to take a closer look at your teeth and surrounding structures with remarkable accuracy.  This can give us the information we need to more effectively plan your orthodontic treatment. Typically, these X-rays are taken before treatment begins, but we may take additional scans during and after treatment in order to chart your progress.

Digital X-rays also require much less radiation than traditional film X-rays. They are safe, effective, fast, and informative.

Intra-Oral Camera

The intra-oral camera is a small diagnostic tool, about the size of a pen, that can be used to view the inside of your mouth. Because of its small design, the intra-oral camera is able to gain access to parts of your mouth that can be difficult to see with the naked eye, reflective mirror, or even x-ray. Using this technology, we are able to inspect a magnified view of your entire mouth on a high definition screen, which can be invaluable for early detection of oral health issues.

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary Endodontics means utilizing an advanced electric hand tool to perform root canals. This allows us to clean and shape the canals quickly and effectively, cutting down the time needed to complete the procedure.

3M True Definition Scanner

Savannah dentist, Dr. Steven Berwitz, is proud to offer the 3M True Definition Scanner to replace the traditional molded impressions of your teeth.  This scanner provides high-quality, non-invasive impressions and is proven to be consistently more accurate than any other dental scanner.  This scanner generates impressions that have been used with thousands of cases, with a clinically proven fit rate of 99.7%.  The accuracy is so reliable that many cases don’t even require a model of your teeth.
